As the financial crisis in Puerto Rico enters into its 8th day,
leaving nearly 100,000 government employees without work and the
Commonwealth losing its current credit ranking, there is growing
talk that the fiscal crisis will cause a growth in movement from
Puerto Rico into the United States. Carlos Irizarry, a Kissimmee
City, Florida Commission candidate was quoted as saying:
Ready or not, we have to take it and work with it. As Americans,
[everyone has] the right to go from state to state to look for a
place that will benefit their family.?
